Hane ("we", "our", "the App") is a personal finance management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Enter

All of the following data is entered by you manually:

• Email address and password — required to create an account for household sharing. Your password is securely hashed by Supabase and is never stored in plain text.
• Display name (e.g. "Ali") — used to label transactions and identify you within shared households.
• Financial records — accounts, transactions, categories, goals, investment holdings, recurring templates, installment plans.
• Household information — household name and join code (if you create or join a household).

2.2 Data Generated Automatically

• User ID — generated by Supabase authentication when you create an account. This ID is used to associate your data with your household.
• Device ID — a randomly generated identifier stored locally to distinguish devices during household sync.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

• Phone number
• Location data
• Contacts
• Photos or camera data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
