1. Introduction

Hane ("we", "our", "the App") is a personal finance management application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Enter

All of the following data is entered by you manually:

• Email address and password — required to create an account for household sharing. Your password is securely hashed by Supabase and is never stored in plain text.
• Display name (e.g. "Ali") — used to label transactions and identify you within shared households.
• Financial records — accounts, transactions, categories, goals, investment holdings, recurring templates, installment plans.
• Household information — household name and join code (if you create or join a household).

2.2 Data Generated Automatically

User ID — generated by Supabase authentication when you create an account. It associates your account with household records, Pro access and the limited usage events described below.

When you are signed in to a Hane account, limited usage events such as opening the Pro screen, selecting a plan and the outcome of a purchase attempt may be recorded using Supabase. These records are linked to your Hane user ID and include the event time, app version, platform, the feature that opened the Pro screen, the selected plan and, when applicable, a purchase error code or short error message. We use them to understand use of the Pro screen and identify purchase problems. Financial transaction amounts, account balances and record descriptions entered in Hane are not added to these events. These usage records are separate from optional household financial-data sync and may be recorded while you are signed in even if you do not use household sharing. We do not use this data to track you across apps and websites for advertising.

• Device ID — a randomly generated identifier stored locally to distinguish devices during household sync.
